East Bay Sanghas in the tradition of Thich Nhat Hanh
There are more than a dozen Thich Nhat Hanh sitting groups or sanghas (the Pali word for community) in the Bay Area.  This list will help you find them or this searchable directory.  I can personally recommend:

Insight Meditation with Will Kabat-Zinn
Sundays  7:00-9:00pm

All are welcome to sit with Will Kabat-Zinn.  Each meeting will begin with a guided or silent meditation followed by a Dharma talk or formal teaching.  There will be plenty of time to ask questions .

The East Bay Meditation Center (EBMC) is an independent center located in downtown Oakland, at 285 17th Street at Harrison, just 3 blocks from the 19th Street BART station.  We offer meditation training and spiritual teachings from Buddhist and other wisdom traditions, with attention to social action, multiculturalism, and the diverse populations of the East Bay and beyond.

Our programs include meditation classes, daylong retreats, sitting groups, workshops, and classes.
